Boeing's Newest 747: This Machine's Turning Green

The 747-8 is the largest 747 produced to date, and the largest commercial aircraft built in the United States - seating 467 passengers. Though the jet’s size has increased, other things have gotten smaller. The 747-8 has 16% less carbon emissions per passenger, a 16% better fuel economy and a 30% smaller noise footprint than the 747-400. The plane is setting a new standard for economic and environmental performance.
