15-Story Hotel Built in 2 Days!

A level 9 earthquake-resistant hotel was recently built in China. The amazing thing about this 15 story hotel is that it was built in just six days – the exterior in only two! The structure used prefabricated columns and modules, allowing construction workers to assemble the building on the pre-laid foundation. Even though this job was speedy, no workers were injured, which is quite impressive in and of itself.

In the current economic environment, many families are reluctant to travel just for indulgence & instead are looking for opportunities to add value to their family vacation by serving those in need.  Voluntourism is a new kind of vacation that combines touring with volunteering.  As our world becomes smaller, it’s becoming more & more important to learn about other countries’ customs & cultures.  Parents are encouraging their children to not only volunteer in their local communities, but also to become more culturally & socially involved in their world.
