Spotlight on FTI

Joan Hazelwood

Group Travel Consultant/Group Sales Department

Q: How did you come to work for Fellowship Travel?

A: I went to Lucas Travel School originally to become a flight attendant. I applied at Piedmont Airlines, but they advised that you had to be 21, and I wasn?t. So, I decided to work at a travel agency for a few years instead.

Q: How long have you been at FTI?

A: About 20 years

Q: What is your favorite country you?ve visited and why?

A: Austria; I like the mix of the old and the new.

Q: What is your favorite thing about FTI?

A: ?Wacky Wednesdays,? especially when they involve chocolate! (Fun Fridays are monthly associate-appreciation events. We do everything from Easter egg hunts to indoor mini golf tournaments!)

Q: What would you say is your most defining characteristic?

A: I don?t really have a defining characteristic.

Since Joan didn?t want to toot her own horn, we?ll do it for her. We?d all agree that Joan?s commitment ? to her family, her friends, and her job at FTI ? truly defines her.  She is a loyal, dedicated employee, and we are happy to have her as a member of our team!

Joan has served WGO's travel needs for about 12 of those 20 years and we could not be happier with Joan's service, personality, and professionalism. She has become a good friend of our ministry travel coordinators and has done a lot to educate all of us during this time. In my opinion, it is fitting that Joan is the first of your staff to be spotlighted in the premier newsletter.
