Travel Insurance

When traveling to volunteer projects abroad, there a variety of unforseen circumstances you could encounter, ranging from an inconvenient flight cancellation to a serious medical issue. Travel insurance helps you prepare for the unexpected.

We offer a Comprehensive Travel Insurance with Trip Protection as well as Emergency Medical Travel Insurance. Both plans offer:

  • 24-hour emergency assistance
  • Medical evacuation services
  • Travel medical assistance

The plans also include a waiver of Pre-existing Medical Condition Exclusion if insurance is purchased within 24 hours of initial trip payment.

How to Book Discounted Flights for Individual & Group Volunteer Travel

Individuals

If you’re traveling with fewer than 10 people, you can either speak directly with one of our Individual Travel Agents or get immediate itinerary & pricing results by using our flight search engine. In order to take advantage of our volunteer travel airfare discounts, please select the appropriate “Search Type” in the flight search engine box.

The airlines restrict the use of these discount fares, so they require that we verify that all persons using them are traveling for humanitarian purposes. Therefore, the reduced rates will not display in the search results until you have been approved to use them.

First-time users must create an account & fill out the form to apply for the discount airfares. Once you’re approved, the contract rates will automatically appear each time you log in & search for flights.

Groups

Groups of 10+ passengers can contact a Group Travel Agent directly or Request a Quote online.

Once we’ve received your group flight request, your travel agent will negotiate with the airlines directly to get the lowest possible group rate. This process make take a few days, as we research all possible flight options. The airfares & travel itineraries that meet your needs will be sent to you via email.
