This tour will walk you through the stories of Jesus' life – from His birth, through His miracles at Cana and Tabgha, through the events of His last days on Earth. You'll also learn about sites important to Israel's Jewish, Roman and Crusader history.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Tel Aviv

Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. 

Overnight in Tel Aviv.

Day 2: Caesarea – Muhraka – Megiddo – Acre

Depart Tel Aviv and drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region; visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman Theater and aqueduct. 

Travel to Muhraka, the site of confrontation between Elijah and the prophets of Baal; enjoy the spectacular view of the Jezreel Valley and the lower Galilee. Continue to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon; learn the impressive history of this battlefield as you visit the archaeological excavations, including the well-preserved water supply system. 

Continue on to Acre to visit the remarkable underground Crusader City and crypt; walk through the Old City, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site, and visit the local market and harbor. 

Continue to Kinar Galilee hotel for overnight.

Day 3: Tiberias – Capernaum – Banias

After a short tour of Tiberias, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Then, visit the Yigal Allon Center where the "Jesus boat," an ancient fishing boat from the 1st century, is displayed. Continue to Capernaum to visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Stop at Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of Fish and Loaves, and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th-century mosaic floor. 

Enjoy the beautiful view atop the Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. End the day with a drive to the Banias springs and tour of the Golan Heights.

Return to Kinar Galilee hotel for overnight.

Day 4: Cana – Nazareth – Beit Shean

Start the morning with a trip to Cana to visit the Wedding Church, where Jesus performed his first miracle turning water into wine. Continue to Nazareth to see the Church of Annunciation, Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s well. 

Then, visit Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan River, followed by a stop at Beit Shean to visit the ancient Roman city and amphitheater. 

Drive along the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem for overnight.

Day 5: Jerusalem - Old City

Drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city and visit to the Church of All Nations. Next, enter the city to see King David’s Tomb and the Room of Last Supper on Mt. Zion. 

In the Old City, we'll walk along the Cardo, the ancient roman road and visit the Jewish and Christian quarters. Stop at the Jewish Wailing Wall, and view the Temple Mount. Then, walk along the Via Dolorosa past the oriental Bazaar to visit the Church of Holy Sepulchre. We'll end our day at the Garden Tomb, enjoying the beautiful gardens and peaceful ambiance. 

Overnight  in Jerusalem.

Day 6: Jerusalem – New City & Bethlehem

After breakfast, we'll drive to Ein Karem to visit the Church of Visitation. Then, we'll visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s official memorial to the Holocaust. Later, we'll see where the Dead Sea scrolls are housed and a miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period during our visit to the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book.  

Subject to security conditions, we'll drive to Jesus' birthplace in Bethlehem. There, we'll stop at Shepherds' Field, walk through Manger Square, and take in the remarkable Church of Nativity and its art from around the globe.

Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7: Qumran – Masada – Dead Sea

We'll start the day with a drive through the Judaean Hills to the Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found, then drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada. This former fortress of Herod was the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 AD. Ascend Masada by cable car and explore  the remains of the walls, water cistern and Herod’s Palace. Continue on to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Here, you can enjoy an ultra-buoyant float in the water and cover yourself with the mineral-rich mud, believed to have therapeutic effects. 

Return to Jerusalem for overnight.

Day 8: Jerusalem – Ben Gurion Airport

Enjoy breakfast before transferring to the airport for departure, or spend the day sightseeing on your own and take a late day return flight. If you choose to depart in the evening on Day 8, you will arrive home on Day 9.
