Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Tel Aviv

Arrive at the airport, & transfer to the hotel. 

Day 2: Tel Aviv

Spend the day at leisure, or take an optional trip to the Dead Sea for a unique floating experience. 

Day 3: Tel Aviv – Caesarea – Haifa – Acre – Rosh Hanikra

Travel to Caesarea this morning to see the ancient aqueduct & Roman theatre. Head to Mount Carmel afterward for a brief visit. Learn about the ship Af-Al-Pi-Chen & Israel’s immigration history during a visit to the Clandestine Immigration & Naval Museum. Explore the market in Acre, & enjoy a stroll by the city’s old harbor. End the day in Rosh Hanikra. Upon arrival, hop on a cable car, & ride down to admire the limestone caves.

Day 4: Rosh Hanikra – Safed – Golan Heights

Visit the heartland of Kabbalah this morning, the city of Safed. Visit the 15th-century Abuhav Synagogue, & see the Crusader ruins. You’ll also enjoy exploring the Artists Quarter. Afterward, take a 4 x 4 tour to the Golan Heights region. Along the way you’ll see the spring of Banias, visit what once was a Syrian military camp, & stand on the hill where the Battle of Tel Hai took place. This evening, discover the Kibbutz culture over dinner. 

Day 5: Golan Heights – Tiberias – Beit She’an – Beth Alpha – Gan HaShlosha – Jerusalem

See the tomb of 12th-century Jewish Rabbi Maimonides in Tiberias. Explore the ruins of the Beit She’an archaeological site, & admire the mosaics inside the Beth Alpha synagogue. Relax this afternoon, as you swim in the natural waters within Gan HaShlosha National Park. Before dinner, make your way to the city of Jerusalem. Receive a blessing at Mount Scopus upon arriving. 

Day 6: Jerusalem

Discover the charm of Jerusalem’s Jewish Quarter this morning. Visit the Sephardic synagogues. Stand on Mount Zion, & walk through the Western Wall Tunnels. Tour the museum at the Tower of David, & visit the Jaffa Gate. Other highlights of the Old City tour include King David’s tomb & the Cardo. 

Day 7: Jerusalem

Visit the Western Wall this morning. Then, learn about the culture of Haredi Judaism as you visit the Mea Shearim community. Or, remain at the Western Wall to celebrate your kin’s bar/bat mitzvah ceremony (optional). See the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Israel Museum, & visit the Holocaust memorial, Yad Vashem. Other highlights of today’s tour include Ammunition Hill & the Knesset.

Day 8: Jerusalem – Qumran – Masada – Jerusalem

Travel to Qumran, historic site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Next, ascend up to Masada by cable car to tour the ancient ruins built by King Herod the Great. Relax at an Israeli spa before you head back to Jerusalem. Enjoy dinner & an overnight stay in the city. 

Day 9: Jerusalem

Spend the day at leisure in Jerusalem. 

Day 10: Jerusalem – Timna – Eilat

Leave Jerusalem after breakfast this morning. You’ll drive through the Negev desert, heading to Timna. Learn about the history of copper mining at Timna, & see the massive rock pillars of King Solomon. Travel to Eilat afterward. Admire a wide variety of aquatic creatures at Eilat’s famous aquarium. 

Day 11: Eilat – Petra – Eliat

Spend the day at leisure in Eilat, or visit Petra for the day. Cross the border into Jordan, & journey to the Siq. You’ll head through this massive gorge to find fascinating structures carved into enormous, desert-red rock. Highlights include the Treasury. If you’re up for a challenge, climb the Monastery’s 800 plus steps! Return to Eilat after lunch. 

Day 12: Eilat – Sde Boker – Hatzerim – Tel Aviv

Visit the Ramon Crater this morning. Next, visit the burial site of Ben Gurion in Sde Boker. You’ll also enjoy a unique cultural experience today, Bedouin hospitality. Learn about the Bedouin way of life, enjoy a meal, & ride camels.Travel to Hatzerim to explore the Israeli Air Force Museum before returning to Tel Aviv. 

Day 13: Tel Aviv – USA

Transfer to the airport, & board return flight home.
