Overview

Take a walk through the books of the Bible as you travel across the Holy Land & neighboring Jordan. You’ll visit world-famous archaeological sites, admire ancient mosaic artwork, float in the Dead Sea, ride horses through a massive gorge, & much more. This 11-day tour is an experience that will inspire you & amaze you. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!

Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Tel Aviv

Arrive at the airport, & transfer to the hotel. 

Day 2: Tel Aviv – Caesarea – Megiddo – Haifa – Acre – Galilee

Travel to Caesarea this morning. See the ancient Roman theatre & the aqueduct. Visit the site believed to be the site of Armageddon, mentioned in the Book of Revelations. While at Megiddo you’ll learn about the ancient city’s water system. Enjoy a brief visit to Haifa on the way to Acre, where you’ll enjoy a pleasant walk by the old harbor. Afterward, head to the hotel situated in the Galilee region for dinner & an overnight stay. 

Day 3: Tiberias – Capernaum – Tabgha – Mount of Beatitudes – Banias – Golan Heights

After breakfast, sail the Sea of Galilee. Disembark the boat at Capernaum, where you’ll see its 2nd-century Synagogue. Head to Tabgha next to visit the site where the multiplication of the loaves & fish took place, as depicted in the New Testament. You’ll also visit the Church of the Multiplication. The church is revered for its mosaic floor, with its design featuring a loaf of bread surrounded by a fish on each side. Other highlight of today’s journey include the Mount of Beatitudes, the spring of Banias, & a scenic drive through the Golan Heights region. Enjoy another overnight stay in the Galilee region. 

Day 4: Nazareth – Yardenit – Beit She’an – Jerusalem

Head to the town of Nazareth this morning. See Mary’s Well, the Church of the Annunciation, & St. Joseph’s Church. Travel to the banks of the Jordan River to the Yardenit baptismal site. Explore the Beit She’an archaeological site before heading to Jerusalem. 

Day 5: Jerusalem

Head up onto Mount Zion, home to the Last Supper Room & King David’s Tomb. Visit the Church of All Nations on the Mount of Olives. Walk in the footsteps of Jesus as you head down the Via Dolorosa, believed to be where Jesus carried his cross before his crucifixion. Take a stroll through the local market, & visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Other highlights of Jerusalem’s Old City include the Western Wall, the Garden Tomb, & the Cardo.  

Day 6: Jerusalem – Bethlehem – Jerusalem

Head to the Avenue of the Righteous this morning, & learn about its connection to the Holocaust. Next you’ll see the Yad Vashem memorial, dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust. Visit Ein Karem, the neighborhood where John the Baptist was born. Travel to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem afterward. Return to Jerusalem, & spend the remainder of the day at leisure. 

Day 7: Jerusalem – Qumran – Masada – Dead Sea – Jerusalem

See where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in the mid-20th century. After visiting Qumran, head to the top of the incredible Masada. You’ll ascend by cable car, then explore the ancient ruins built by King Herod the Great. Highlights include Herod’s Palace. Travel to the Dead Sea afterward for a relaxing float (time & weather permitting). Return to Jerusalem for dinner & an overnight stay. 

Day 8: Jerusalem – Jerash – Amman

Cross the Israeli-Jordanian border this morning. Enjoy a stop in the city of Jerash to see the many ancient ruins that still stand today. You’ll admire the Oval Forum’s colonnade, the Theatres, mosaics, & other ancient structures. Head to Amman afterward. Enjoy a guided tour of the city upon arrival.   

Day 9: Amman – Wadi Musa – Petra – Wadi Musa

Today you will discover some of the world’s most fascinating structures, made from rock. Drive to Wadi Musa, & begin heading to Petra’s entryway on horses. Once you have arrived at the entryway, a massive gorge known as the Siq, dismount the horses, & walk through on foot. Architectural highlights of this UNESCO World Heritage Site include the Treasury & the Monastery. Return to Wadi Musa for dinner & an overnight stay. 

Day 10: Wadi Musa – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Tel Aviv

Visit Madaba. The city is home to Saint George Church, which features the ancient, mosaic “Madaba Map” of the Holy Land. Head to Mount Nebo, believed to be where Moses saw the Promised Land. Highlights on Mount Nebo include ancient floor mosaics & scenic views of Jericho & the Dead Sea. Return to Tel Aviv for dinner & an overnight stay. 

Day 11: Tel Aviv – USA

Transfer to the airport, & board return flight home.
