Sample Itinerary

Day 1: New Delhi

Arrive at the airport in New Delhi. Transfer to the hotel, & enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. 

Day 2: New Delhi – Sawai Madhopur

Discover the wonders of New Delhi. Visit the Raj Ghat, a memorial for the “Father of the Nation,” Mahatma Gandhi. The black marble monument, which features a burning flame, is situated at the site of Gandhi’s cremation. See the India Gate, the famous monument which honors the soldiers who died during World War I & the Afghan War. Other sightseeing highlights include the parliament house, the president’s palace, & the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a Sikh temple dating back to the 17th century. Travel to Sawai Madhopur for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Sawai Madhopur – Haridwar

Enjoy time of leisure this morning. Relax, visit the Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History, or visit one of the city’s beautiful temples. After lunch, visit Ranthambore National Park, home to a diverse variety of flora & fauna. Enjoy a safari ride through the park to see tigers, striped hyenas, leopards, & more. This evening, transfer to the railway station, & board an overnight train to Haridwar. 

Day 4: Haridwar – Rishikesh

Arrive at the railway station in Haridwar, & transfer to Rishikesh. This evening, enjoy a unique cultural experience, the Ganga Aarti ceremony. Held at the banks of the Ganges River, the ceremony features rituals in the form of chants, offerings & more. Afterward, explore the old market to see some of India’s oldest temples.    

Day 5: Rishikesh

Arise early this morning to begin a hiking adventure in the Nilgiri Mountains. The “Blue Mountains” feature numerous peaks, several waterfalls, over 2,700 species of plants, & an elevation reaching over 8,000 feet. 

Day 6: Rishikesh – Haridwar – New Delhi

In the morning, head down the mountain, & transfer to the hotel to freshen up. After lunch, transfer to the railway station in Haridwar, & board the train to New Delhi. Transfer to hotel upon arrival in New Delhi. 

Day 7: New Delhi – USA

Transfer to the airport, & board return flight home.
