Overview

Home to the breathtaking Victoria Falls is a place called Livingstone, Zambia. Within this African community are many life-changing opportunities in which volunteers can participate. Choose one or more of the specialized programs, which include education, medical, & sports, & touch the life of a Livingstone local forever. 

Minimal recommended length of stay is 10 days.

Specialized Program: Medical

Volunteers can help make a difference in Livingstone by:
  • Making home visits to the ill
  • Helping to raise awareness on how to care for the ill
  • Holding an educational workshop on HIV
  • Assisting with medical staff duties at a local clinic

Specialized Program: Education

Volunteers can help the children of Livingstone by:
  • Working with disadvantaged children in the community
  • Teaching a variety of subjects (i.e. mathematics, science, reading, social studies)

Specialized Program: Sports

Volunteers in the sports program can participate in a variety of activities, including:
  • Coaching school sports
  • Helping local coaches develop new techniques for teaching their teams
  • Assisting with a special program that uses football practice to encourage HIV awareness

Specialized Program: Community Work

Volunteers can make a difference in the Livingstone community by helping renovate schools, community centers, medical facilities, & other buildings. 

Optional Pre/Post-Project Tours


										
  • Antelope Park – This three day tour features safari game viewing by truck, horseback ride, canoe, or by foot. The tour also includes elephant riding & a fishing excursion.
  • Wildlife & Nature Tour – Visit Antelope Park, Victoria Falls, & the Miombo woodlands.
  • Ultimate Wildlife & Nature Experience – Spend ten days exploring the wildlife & nature of Zambia, Botswana, & Zimbabwe. Highlights include the Okavenga Delta, Victoria Falls, safari game drives, & Antelope Park.
