This 3-day volunteer project makes a great add-on to any Ethiopian tour. You’ll help make a difference in the lives of children in Ethiopia’s capital city, as you volunteer at a local school. This project also features a unique learning experience in the medical field. Participants will visit an HIV clinic to learn about the effects of the disease & how medical personnel are responding to it.
Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, transfer to the hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
Meet with the instructors at a local school this morning. Prepare lesson plans for teaching tomorrow while enjoying lunch with the staff. Afterward, travel to an HIV clinic to learn about HIV patients & the services offered at the clinic.
Take on the role of the teacher today, as you help the children to improve their mathematical, creative, language, & computer skills, through a variety of activities. Before transferring to the airport & heading to your next destination, enjoy a special meal with the students at the school.
