Itinerary

Day 1: Vilnius

Arrive at the airport in Vilnius, & transfer to the hotel. 

Day 2: Vilnius

Begin your morning by visiting Vilnius’ Old Town, where you’ll find the Cathedral of Vilnius, with its white-washed bell tower. The next stop on this half-day guided tour is at the Presidential Palace, the seat of Lithuania’s president. Visit the Gothic & Baroque-style St. Anne’s Church, & admire the artwork inside the nearby St. Bernardine Church. Travel back to World War II era while walking through the Vilnius Ghetto, where the Jewish, Lithuanian residents suffered the brutality & persecution of the Nazi party. Other highlights of the tour include visits to the 16th-century Gate of Dawn, Vilnius University, & Town Hall Square. After lunch, you’ll have a conference with representatives of a local company whose aim is to draw in & help foreign businesses establish their presence in the country. You will leave more knowledgeable about the world of investment, specific to Lithuania. This evening, enjoy dinner & time of leisure. 

Day 3: Vilnius

Attend a business seminar both this morning, & this afternoon. Spend the remainder of the day exploring or relaxing in the city at your leisure. 

Day 4: Vilnius – Riga

Travel to Riga, Latvia, this morning. After lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the city. You’ll explore Riga’s famous Art Nouveau district, & enjoy scenic views from the tower of St. Peter’s Church. Other highlights include visits to the 14th-century Castle, St. John’s Church, the Cathedral of Riga, & the Latvian National Opera. Enjoy dinner & an overnight stay in Riga. 

Day 5: Riga

After breakfast, take a tour of the reputable Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. Attend a business lecture at the school (date permitting), & enjoy a meeting with the school’s students to discuss local business affairs. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. 

Day 6: Riga – Tallinn

Experience a scenic & adventurous journey to Estonia today. Your first stop will be to visit Gauja National Park, home to the medieval Turaida Castle. Next you will enjoy rope climbing that takes you into the canopies of trees at a local adventure park. Upon arrival in Tallinn, check-in to the hotel. Enjoy dinner & an overnight stay. 

Day 7: Tallinn

Discover the charm of Tallinn’s Old Town, officially a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy shopping the markets of Town Hall Square, & visit the Great Guild to learn about the city’s medieval history. Other highlights of the tour include a visit to the medieval Toompea Castle & local cathedrals. After lunch, attend a final business seminar. Enjoy dinner & an overnight stay in the city. 

Day 8: Tallinn

Transfer to the airport, & board return flight home.

  • Vilnius – Spend the day exploring the Jewish historical sites of the city. Tour features visits to Jewish ghettos & the Vilna Gaon Jewish State Museum.
  • Paneriai Forest – Site where thousands of Jews lie at rest after having been executed by the Nazi party.
  • Riga & Bikernieki Forest – Learn about pre & post WWII Jewish history at the Museum “Jews In Latvia.” Visit the Yiddish-speaking district of Maskavas & the cemetery & Holocaust memorial in Bikernieki Forest.
  • Tallinn – Meet members of the local Jewish community. Visit the cultural center & the nearby Rahumae cemetery.

Soviet Reign Across Europe’s Baltic Region – See works of art, historic sites, & memorials relating to the Soviet Union’s previous reign over Estonia, Latvia, & Lithuania.  
  • Vilnius & Grutas Park – Explore the Museum of Genocide Victims, see the Green Bridge, & visit the Palace of the Trade Unions. Walk through Grutas Park, which features more than fifty statues of Soviet figures.
  • Devil Museum – Famous Lithuanian museum. Features thousands of devil figures, originating from Lithuania & other countries.
  • Secret Soviet Bunker – Visit what once was a secret hide out for Soviet officials in Latvia.
  • Paldiski – Estonian town that served as a nuclear submarine training center during the time of Soviet reign.
