Itinerary

Day 1: USA

Leave the USA for Edinburgh, Scotland.

Day 2: Edinburgh

Arrive at the airport in Edinburgh, & enjoy an introductory sightseeing tour of the city on the way to the hotel. See the Royal Mile, located in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, & Edinburgh Castle. Other highlights include the 12th-century St Giles’ Cathedral & Edinburgh’s New Town.   

Day 3: Edinburgh

Learn about the history of Scotland this morning during a visit to Edinburgh Castle. See the rock that was used during crowning ceremonies in ancient & medieval times, the Stone of Destiny. Marvel at the Scottish Crown Jewels inside the Royal Palace, & take a tour of St Margaret’s Chapel & the Great Hall. Perform a concert in the early afternoon today. Afterward, spend the remainder of the day at leisure.   

Day 4: Edinburgh – Lake District

The trip to England’s Lake District is breathtaking. This region features a diverse terrain, consisting of serene lakes, lush countryside, & rocky mountains. The Lake District was also the home of famous literary figures, such as William Wordsworth. Visit the village of Grasmere, & see Windermere, the country’s largest natural lake. Visit William Wordsworth’s home, Rydal Mount, & explore the town of Ambleside. Enjoy dinner & an overnight stay in the area. 

Day 5: Lake District – Chester

Journey to medieval Chester today. The city’s history dates back to Roman times, within the first century AD. Take a walk along the sightseeing path, situated on top of Chester’s fortress walls. Visit the stunning Chester Cathedral, which features various architectural styles, including Gothic & Norman. In the afternoon, take a stroll down the covered walkways of the Chester Rows, & enjoy browsing the shops located along the way. Afterward, head to the hotel for dinner & an overnight stay.

Day 6: Chester – North Wales

Experience the natural beauty of Wales today as you head through mountains & across the valleys of Snowdownia National Park, travel through the quaint town of Beddgelert, & ride by Llanberis Pass. Visit the castle by the sea, Caernarfon, before heading to tonight’s accommodation.

Day 7: North Wales

Continue to explore Snowdonia & the nearby areas today. Visit the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, & head down into the Llechwedd Slate Caverns for an exciting & educational adventure. Take a ride on the Ffestiniog Railway, which connects Blaenau Ffestiniog to the Porthmadog Harbour. Along the ride you will see several passenger stations that were built in the 19th century. Later today, explore the Italian-style town of Portmerion.  

Day 8: North Wales – Llandrindod Wells

Follow along the coast on the way to the town of Llandrindod Wells. During this scenic trip you’ll see the famous Aberystwyth University, which was founded in the year 1872. This afternoon features a concert in Llandrindod Wells. 

Day 9: Llandrindod Wells – London

Bid farewell to beautiful Wales, & get ready to visit the most happening city in the United Kingdom, London. Learn about London’s ancient history today on a tour of the City of London. Visit the Tower of London. This castle, which dates back to the 11th century, was used for various purposes over the centuries. For some time, the castle was used as a facility of executions. Other highlights of the Tower of London include the Jewel House, home of the Crown Jewels, & the White Tower, which features the beautiful St. John’s Chapel. You’ll also see the famous St Paul’s Cathedral. After the tour, check into the hotel, & spend the remainder of the day at leisure. 

Day 10: London

Discover the most admired sights of London’s West End. Visit one of the Queen of England’s royal residences, the lovely Buckingham Palace, & watch the soldiers as they perform the changing of the guard outside the palace. See one of the world’s most famous clocks, Big Ben, & marvel at the stunning north facade of Westminster Abbey. It is here that Kings & Queens have taken their crowns, many famous people have been buried, & many other royal events have taken place. Other highlights of the tour include the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, & a drive down Piccadilly Street. Later today, take a walk in South Bank to see the Ferris wheel, the London Eye, & Shakespeare’s Globe. 

Day 11: London

In the earlier part of the day, enjoy a visit to St Paul’s Cathedral, & perform another concert abroad. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. There are lots of options to pursue. Enjoy the sights of London on a ride atop a double-decker bus, visit popular shops such as the world-renowned department store Harrods, or explore one of London’s many museums. Tonight, you might catch a musical or theatrical performance at one of the city’s many entertainment venues. 

Day 12: London – USA

Transfer to the airport in London, & board return flight home.
