Are you ready for a unique wildlife experience? This Ugandan adventure takes you into the forest of Bwindi, to discover the critically endangered mountain gorilla. But that’s not all. In addition to observing a large variety of other species who call Uganda home, you’ll enjoy spending time with another of the primate species, the chimpanzee.

Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe

Arrive at the airport in Entebbe, & transfer to the hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Entebbe – Lake Mburo National Park

Travel to Lake Mburo National Park today to enjoy its amazing wildlife & landscapes. The area features wetlands, grasslands, & woodlands. You will have the option of enjoying the park by foot or by game drive vehicle. Observe the many animals that reside within the national park, which include elands, zebras, leopards, topis, & oribi.

Day 3: Lake Mburo National Park – Bwindi

Head to the southwestern region of Uganda, to beautiful & lush Bwindi. The region is known for its scenic landscapes & its population of mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch, followed by a guided tour through the local forest or through the town. Afterward, spend the remainder of the day at leisure. 

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This morning, head into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an amazing wildlife experience: a mountain gorilla trekking adventure. Learn about this critically endangered species, & look forward to the possibility of observing them very close! After the trek, return to your accommodation, & spend the remainder of the day at leisure. 

Day 5: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Leave Bwindi this morning, & head for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Today’s wildlife highlight is the chimpanzee adventure. Observe these fascinating primates inside their natural habitat, the Kyambura Gorge. The Gorge is also home to baboons & red-tailed monkeys. 

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Discover more amazing wildlife inside Queen Elizabeth National Park. During the safari, you might spot hippos, lions, & elephants. Later today, take a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. While sailing these waters, you’ll have the opportunity to observe more wildlife. Animals within the area include the African fish eagle, crocodiles, antelopes, buffaloes, & elephants.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kampala – Entebbe

Visit the city of Kampala for a unique shopping experience. You’ll explore either the Nakasero Market or the Owino Market for handicrafts, clothing, gift items, & more. Afterward, return to Entebbe to enjoy the beauty of Lake Victoria. 

Day 8: Entebbe – Ngamba Island – Entebbe – USA

Sail the waters of Lake Victoria, heading for Ngamba Island. The highlight of the visit to Ngamba Island is the chimpanzee sanctuary visit. Afterward, return to Entebbe. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport, & board return flight home.
