This 7-day/6-night tour invites you to experience the grandeur of some of Brazil’s most famed destinations. Admire one of nature’s most beautiful sights, the magnificent Iguazu Falls. Itinerary

Day 1: Rio de Janeiro

Arrive at the airport, & transfer to the hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. 

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro

This morning, explore the Cosme Velho district, which features a colorful display of colonial architecture. Afterward, hop inside a cable car for a journey up to Corcovado Mountain, home to the world-famous Christ the Redeemer statue. Enjoy awe-inspiring views of the city & Guanabara Bay before heading to the top of one of Rio’s other natural gems, Sugarloaf Mountain.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro – Iguazu

Transfer to the airport, & board flight to Iguazu. Upon arrival, visit Iguazu National Park, home to one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, Iguazu Falls. Journey to the top of the lookout tower, & enjoy breathtaking views of the 275 cascades that drop over the Brazil-Argentina border. 

Day 4: Iguazu (Brazil – Argentina – Brazil)

Travel across the Tancredo Neves Bridge into Argentina to experience the magnificent waterfalls & the national park from the other side. The return route includes a visit to the tri-border of Argentina, Brazil, & Paraguay. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure.  

Day 5: Iguazu – Salvador

Transfer to the airport, & board flight to Salvador. Enjoy the remainder of the day in this vibrant city at leisure. 

Day 6: Salvador

Discover the charming history & culture of one of Brazil’s most thriving cities. Take a stroll through the historic city center, Pelourinho, which features an array of colonial architecture, famous monuments, shops, & more. Visit the famous São Francisco Church, a Baroque masterpiece illuminated with gold. Other highlights include Castro Alves Square, Barra Lighthouse, Castro Alves Theater, & Forte de São Pedro. Afterward, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. 

Day 7: Salvador – USA

Transfer to the airport, & board return flight home. 

Optional Add-On: Amazon Adventure

This four night add-on tour takes you to Brazil’s Amazonian region. The excitement begins in Manaus, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the city. Highlights include Manaus’ famous opera house, the Amazon Theatre, & the Amazon Arena, completed in 2014 for the World Cup games. After the tour, bid farewell to the city, as you head into the jungle on the waters of the Amazon. Highlights include:
  • Meeting of Waters – Famous confluence on the Amazon.
  • Piranha Fishing – Enjoy fishing for the sharp-toothed piranha.
  • Indigenous Community – Learn about the native people of the Amazonian region.
  • Wildlife Observation – Look out for the crocodile’s kin! The “Caiman” lurks through the waters of the Amazon.
  • Forest Adventure – Take a guided hike through the rainforest.
