Overview

Be inspired as you walk in the footsteps of Jesus during the time of his crucifixion. Sail on the Sea of Galilee, walk through the Last Supper Room & attend mass in the Garden of Gethsemane. These are just a few highlights of the many historic & biblical sites you will see as you tour the Holy Land! You won’t want to miss this incredible seven day experience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Tel Aviv

Arrive at the airport in Tel Aviv, & transfer to the hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner & overnight in the city.

Day 2: Tel Aviv – Caesarea – Mount Carmel – Nazareth

This morning, leave Tel Aviv by coach, & travel to Caesarea. Amongst other historic sites that are mentioned in the book of Acts, you’ll see the Roman Theater built by Herod the Great. Next, enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Mount Carmel. Today’s final destination is Nazareth. Before checking into the hotel, you’ll enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour. Highlights include Mary’s Well, the Synagogue Church, St. Joseph’s Church, & the Church of the Annunciation, home to the Holy Grotto of Nazareth. Enjoy dinner & an overnight stay in the city. 

Day 3: Nazareth – Cana of Galilee – Sea of Galilee

Visit the site believed to be where Jesus performed his first miracle, in the town of Cana of Galilee. Next, enjoy sailing on the Sea of Galilee. After disembarking the boat, you’ll visit the ruins of Capernaum, the town where Saint Peter & Saint John lived. The remaining ancient structures include the Synagogue. Other highlights of today’s tour include the Yardenit Baptismal Site, the Mount of Beatitudes, Banias, & Tabgha, home to the Church of the Multiplication. In the evening, attend Mass on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.

Day 4: Sea of Galilee – Mount Tabor – Megiddo – Jericho – Qumran – Jerusalem

Start the day with a visit to Mount Tabor, where you’ll attend Mass inside the Church of the Transfiguration. Following the Mass, you will head to Megiddo, believed to be the site of Armageddon, as foretold in the book of Revelation. Visit the city of Jericho this afternoon to see its ancient walls, Elisha’s spring, the Mount of Temptation, & Zacchaeus’ Tree. On the way to Jerusalem, enjoy a visit to Qumran, where in the 20th century the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Enjoy dinner & an overnight stay in Jerusalem. 

Day 5: Jerusalem

Visit several biblical & historic sites today in the city of Jerusalem. You’ll head up to Mount Zion to see King David’s Tomb, the Abbey of the Dormition, the Last Supper Room, & the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Visit one of the city’s most revered sites, The Temple Mount, & see the Western Wall. Admire the scenic views of the city from atop the Mount of Olives, & visit Dominus Flevit Church. Attend Mass today in the Garden of Gethsemane, & enjoy dinner & another overnight stay in Jerusalem.

Day 6: Jerusalem – Bethlehem – Jerusalem

Take a tour of the Holocaust Memorial Museum at Yad Vashem this morning. Walk in the footsteps of Jesus during his crucifixion as you head down the street Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where you’ll attend Holy Mass. Other highlights of today’s Jerusalem tour include the Pool of Bethesda. Afterward, take a brief trip to Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity. Return to Jerusalem for dinner & an overnight stay. 

Day 7: Jerusalem – Jaffa – Tel Aviv – USA

Explore the Israel Museum this morning. While at the museum, you’ll enjoy visiting the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are put on display. Next, visit the believed homeland of St. John the Baptist, Ein Karem. While in the village, you’ll visit the Church of the Visitation, which features a multilingual display of “Magnificat.” You will attend another Holy Mass at the church. Afterward, travel to the city of Jaffa, your last stop before the airport. Take a walk through the Artists’ Quarter, see Simon the Tanner’s House, & visit St. Peter’s Church. Drive to the airport in Tel Aviv, & board return flight home.
