Day 1: Kathmandu
Arrive at the airport in Kathmandu, & transfer to the hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Kathmandu
In the morning, visit the famous Kathmandu Durbar Square, home to the Hanuman Dhoka Palace Complex. Learn about the royal families who resided here for centuries, & hear the legend of the fifteen-language, engraved stone. Explore Patan Durbar Square, where you’ll discover Newa architecture, a design crafted by the Newa people. Patan square features temples & courtyards devoted to sacred deities of the Nepalese culture & more than 1,000 monuments. Next, visit Swayambhunath to see the ancient stupa, which features the all-seeing eyes of Buddha. Other highlights of today’s sightseeing tour include shopping in Thamel & a ride in a rickshaw.
Day 3: Kathmandu – Trisuli River – Pokhara
Head to the banks of the Trisuli River this morning for an exciting whitewater rafting adventure. Afterward, freshen up, enjoy a delicious lunch, & travel to the city of Pokhara. Relax this evening, resting up for an early sightseeing tour tomorrow.
Day 4: Pokhara
Awake before sunrise, & travel to the breathtaking Sarangkot lookout point. You’ll marvel at the surrounding natural beauty, which consists of the enchanting Phewa Lake & the snow-capped Himalaya Mountains. Enjoy breakfast afterward, followed by visits to famed sites within the area. See the famous Hindu shrine, Bindhyabasini Mandir, during your visit to the Pokhara Bazaar. Enjoy shopping for a variety of unique goods at this old bazaar, including jewelry & vibrant garments. Visit Phewa Lake for an afternoon boating excursion. As you sail atop the transparent lake, you’ll admire the fish swimming below & the reflection of the surrounding mountain tops. Other highlights of today’s tour include the Seti River Gorge & Devi’s Fall.
Day 5: Pokhara – Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport, & board return flight to Kathmandu. Later today, enjoy a half-day city tour. You’ll visit the most revered Hindu temple complex in all of Nepal, Pashupatinath, & see the Boudhanath Stupa, regarded as one of the most sacred shrines amongst Tibetan Buddhists. After the guided tour, enjoy dinner & time of leisure, followed by an overnight stay.
Day 6: Kathmandu – USA
After breakfast, transfer to the airport, & board return flight home.
