Overview

England is home to several of the world’s best research universities, the Wimbledon Championship series, & some of the best football teams. The city was also host to the 2012 Summer Olympics. Though seemingly unrelated credentials, this makes London a great destination for learning more about the discipline of sports & health. Take in a football games, tour health research facilities, & see where premier athletes from around the globe came to compete in 2012. This is also a great chance to explore a top tier city & see the sites.

Itinerary

Day 1: London

Upon your arrival into London, you will be met in the arrivals hall by a greeter who will help direct you to the train station. Although you can’t check in just yet, you will head to your hotel to drop off bags before departing for Kingston University. Once at the school, you will sit in on a lecture with a professor in the field of Health & Exercise Prescription.  Return to the hotel for check-in & your overnight.

Day 2: London

Start today with an orientation session at the program headquarters. Grab some lunch before heading out on your panoramic tour of London. Don’t forget your camera! Afterwards, take the train to the Waltham Cross Station where you will walk to the Lee Valley White Water Center to embark on your white water rafting trip.  Return to your hotel.

Day 3: London

This morning, you will have the chance to listen to a talk & tour the Olympic Velodrome/Velopark. Afterwards, pick up some lunch & take time to explore & shop in the Westfield Shopping Center. From here, continue on to your NFL site visit at the NFL International headquarters (under own arrangement). This evening, watch a live football match.

Day 4: New location

Day 5: London - Stratford - London

Today, you will take a walking tour of the city’s Olympic sites. Enjoy free time for lunch & at afternoon at leisure in the Stratford area.	

Day 6: London

Embark this morning for a tour of the Wimbledon site & museum. This afternoon will be free time for the group.

Day 7: London

This morning, hop a train to Cambridge for a visit to the University of Cambridge’s Sports Center. Tour the facilities before breaking for lunch. Afterwards, see the remainder of the campus on your walking tour of Cambridge, one of the world’s most renowned university. Return to your hotel.

Day 8: London

Check out of hotel & head to the airport for your return flight.
