Itinerary

Day 1: St. Petersburg

Arrive at the airport, & transfer to the hotel. After checking in, enjoy a guided tour of the city. Take a walk down Nevsky Prospect, & see the famous statue, the Bronze Horseman. Visit Palace Square, & see the beautiful Church of the Savior on Blood. Enjoy dinner & an overnight stay in the city. 

Day 2: St. Petersburg

In the morning, head to Peter & Paul Fortress, where you will find centuries of history surrounded by the same walls. Highlights include the Peter & Paul Cathedral. Next, visit The State Hermitage Museum, which features more than 3 million items. This enormous collection includes work by Leonardo da Vinci. Enjoy lunch, followed by a visit to the ever-so-charming Peterhof, the palace & superbly manicured gardens of Russia’s Peter the Great. Enjoy another overnight stay in St. Petersburg.   

Day 3: St. Petersburg – Novgorod

Travel to Novgorod after breakfast this morning. You’ll enjoy a visit to the 11th-century Cathedral of St. Sophia. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant this evening. 

Day 4: Novgorod – Moscow

Leave Novgorod after breakfast for Russia’s capital city, Moscow. Upon arrival, you’ll see one of the city’s most beautiful & renowned landmarks, Saint Basil’s Cathedral. The church’s array of exterior colors will most certainly catch your eye. Next you will visit the famous Kremlin, which features several cathedrals & museums. Highlights include the State Armoury. Afterward, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. 

Day 5: Moscow

Enjoy time for shopping at the famous GUM department store this morning. Afterward, head down into the metro to discover the works of art & architecture along the walls & ceilings. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant today, & spend the remainder of the day at leisure afterward.

Day 6: Moscow – Yartsevo

Travel back in time, to the early 19th-century, as you visit the site where the historic Battle of Borodino took place. After the guided tour of the battlefield, spend the remainder of the day at leisure in Yartsevo. 

Day 7: Yartsevo – Minsk

Cross the Russian-Belarusian border today. After arriving in Belarus’ capital city, Minsk, enjoy a half-day city tour. Enjoy a late lunch at a local restaurant, & explore Minsk at your leisure afterward.  

Day 8: Minsk – Warsaw

You’ll wave goodbye to Belarus this morning as you head for Warsaw, Poland. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Enjoy dinner & an overnight stay in the capital. 

Day 9: Warsaw

Discover the city’s musical history today during your half-day guided tour. Take a stroll through the Old Town, & admire the colorful architecture. Visit the Museum celebrating world-renowned composer Fryderyk Chopin. Later today, you may choose to visit the Royal Castle. Enjoy a farewell dinner this evening. 

Day 10: Warsaw – USA

Transfer to the airport, & board return flight home.
