Overview

Treat yourself to the taste of fine Argentinian wines, as you visit some of Mendoza’s famous vineyards. The Mendoza region, which is celebrated largely for its production of Malbec, is home to hundreds of wineries. In addition to spending several nights in Argentina’s wine country, you’ll discover the “Capital of Tango,” with its charming neighborhoods, delicious food, & vibrant culture.

Itinerary

Day 1: Buenos Aires

Arrive at the airport in Buenos Aires, & transfer to the hotel. 

Day 2: Buenos Aires

Discover the exciting history & culture of the “Capital of Tango.” Visit the famous Plaza de Mayo, which features the city’s oldest national monument, the Piramide de Mayo. Take a stroll down May Avenue, & see the Argentine National Congress Palace. Other highlights include the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral & the Colon Theatre. Later today, explore some of the city’s popular neighborhoods, which feature vibrant, colorful houses, art galleries, tango studios, cafes, museums, & more. The day ends with exciting entertainment! Enjoy traditional Argentinian cuisine & a tango show at one of the city’s tango hot spots.  

Day 3: Buenos Aires

Spend the day at leisure. Take a stroll through the Rose Garden, or explore the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires. Other optional activities include spending the day on a ranch, located just outside of the city’s limits. At the ranch you’ll enjoy horseback rides, a traditional Guacho horse show, & local wines & cuisine.  

Day 4: Buenos Aires – Mendoza

Transfer to the airport, & board flight to Argentina’s Mendoza region. Visit local wineries in the area. Tours of the vineyards include wine tastings. 

Day 5: Mendoza

This morning, visit Aconcagua Provincial Park. The park is home to the ice-capped Mount Aconcagua, known world-wide as one of the Seven Summits. Later today, see the fascinating Puente del Inca, & learn about its natural formation. 

Day 6: Mendoza

Spend the day at leisure in the lovely Mendoza region. 

Day 7: Mendoza

Spend another day in Mendoza at leisure. Optional activities include visiting General San Martin Park, a Mendoza city tour, the hot springs of Cacheuta, fly fishing, & touring other wineries within the region. 

Day 8: Mendoza – Buenos Aires – USA

Return to Buenos Aires this morning via plane. Upon arrival, board connecting flight home.
