Overview
Head to the South African bush for an unforgettable volunteer abroad/service learning program. The program features an intensive photography course focused on wildlife, wildlife conservation activities, & several weeks to photograph leopards, rhinos, elephants, & other amazing animals! Participants can choose from four, six, or eight week programs. Program length is customizable for groups (10 +).
Specialized Program: Wildlife Conservation
There are many opportunities for volunteers while on the game reserve. These include:
- Raising wildlife conservation awareness
- Monitoring animal behavior & movement
- Performing research on endangered species
- Collecting & documenting data
Specialized Program: Wildlife Photography & Conservation
Volunteers participating in the program will enjoy several activities, including:
- Photographing wildlife on the reserve
- Creating a portfolio to be used for wildlife conservation awareness
- Learning techniques on photographing smaller subjects
- Participating in conservation efforts

- Soweto Tour – Depart from Johannesburg on a day tour to Soweto to discover township life.
