Africa

In Kenya, the country’s beauty has been scarred by AIDS, poverty & injustice. Zimbabwe, known for its game reserves, is suffering from a severe economic crisis because its residents have the lowest life-expectancy rate in the world – 34. In South Africa, AIDS has decimated families & left millions of orphaned children. And, let’s not forget the crisis faced by African lions, elephants are other big game species. Volunteer opportunities abound here & help is desperately needed. Teams can serve in countries throughout Eastern & Southern Africa.

Guatemala

The nation of Guatemala offers great beauty, from its diverse landscapes graced with serenity & tradition, to a gentle warmth found in a genuine people. However, this Central American country also endures a great burden, as a large majority of its people live in poverty. And those living in this fragile state suffer from issues such as malnourishment, lack of education & resources, & disease. Many opportunities are available to help better the lives of these people in communities.

Nicaragua

There are so many ways to make an impact in the lives of the Nicaraguan people because the need is so great. Nicaragua is the poorest country in Central America & the second poorest in the Western Hemisphere; 30% of the population live below the poverty line. Make meaningful connections within the community as your team serves alongside local missionaries in the Salinas Grandes area. Your mission team will be led by a local volunteer who will accompany the group to the project sites, providing instruction & translation if needed.

Romania

When people think about Eastern European nations, they often assume they have "western world" economies. However, unemployment & education drop-out rates have remained very high since the fall of communism. Access to medical care is limited. Community work will be done in your choice of 18 programs that meet immediate, urgent needs while providing long-term solutions. Groups can serve by building housing; working in a school, nursing home or special needs facility; volunteering with a greenhouse or farm; providing medical, dental, or counseling services; or even making or distributing glasses. If you have other skills, let us know. We can always create a custom program for you.
