For our individual customers, we’ve ramped up our online booking engine. You can now get pricing for hotels and cars as well as access to our non-profit and student fares. Just make sure to mark the box that applies to you. If you need personal assistance, Sherry joined the individual team to help you out.
Website Updates: Online Catalogs & New Search Bar
You may also have noticed that we’ve reorganized our web site to make it more user-friendly. There is now a Google search bar at the top of the page. Hopefully, this will help you find the info you’re looking for quicker and easier. We’ve also added online catalogs of our volunteer programs, tours, and stopovers. In addition, you will see that there is now a segment on the home page that showcases stories from our customers as well as our new products and services. If you want to see any of our past stories, just click on More, then Blog, and Newsletter. You can also join us on Facebook.
New Team Members
Our Tour department expanded last year to handle the increased demand for customized air and land packages. Jenny Burkholder (who many of you may already know from the Group Sales department) and the newest member of the FTI team (Cindy Mitchell) are Account Managers. Both are highly experienced and looking forward to helping you work out all the details of your group tours/volunteer trips.
Volunteer Opportunities
Everyone at FTI is proud of the role we play in creating well-rounded, globally-responsible citizens. We encourage all our customers to use their skills to make a difference in the world through sustainable outreach projects. The great thing about these projects is that they can be customized to fit your group’s skill set and can be added on to an itinerary for an afternoon, a couple of days or even weeks. In 2010, we introduced projects in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Israel. This year we will be expanding our program offerings into Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Panama.
Cell Phones & Travel Insurance
We have exciting new cell phone products and travel insurance options. Our international cell phone partner will be offering data cards that will give you internet access wherever you are. They will also have personal GPS tracking devices that will slip into travelers’ pockets! Everyone who purchases a phone, SIM card, data card or GPS device through FTI gets a discount. Check out the “Insurance” tab on our site for more information about travel insurance options.
